Cheers to you card class....

I can't take credit for the design of these fabulous cards, my upline Carrie Gaskin designed 5 cards for the Stampin' Up demo website Stamping Challenge and she was picked! I think her idea is one of the best of the ideas chosen, so I re-created 4 of the 5 cards when I got home from work today and couldn't wait to post them (I will do the last one tomorrow!) All of the card are made using the "Cheers to You set" and "Fundamental Phrases" and each uses a different embossing technique. I did change them up a bit as I didn't have all of the "ingredients" she used. The margarita card is the cracked glass technique, the wine one uses the heat and stick powder with iridescent ice glitter , the martini card is clear embossed and then sponged over, and the beer steins are embossed with black powder and water-colored with a blender pen. I used the puffy paint for the head on the beer (not from SU) it just adds such a cool effect!
I will post the details of the class with the next post!

I tried a couple of different takes on this card. Stamps used-Eastern Blooms, and the Curly Label/Punch bundle. Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip are the colors, all from SU. On the first I used one of the cord. buttons and on the second card a "button latte" with linen thread, the center of the flower also has glass beads added with crystal effects.

Crabby!

I made this little guy using only SU punches. I am doing a punch art class created by another SU demonstrator ....I can't wait until next week!

Scrunchy face...

I have been trying to scrapbook this pic for over a year, each time I lay it out I hate it....so, I finally just had to glue this layout down and commit! I used my Circle Scissors (and cut my finger today, such a klutz I am!), the Sweet Slumber Specialty DP (SU), Riding Hood Red ribbon, and Baja Breeze brads, oh and a little piece of 1"double stitched ribbon for the tag....

I made this accordian style mini album using the new Jumble Alphabet from SU, and the Rockabilly DP which I love the texture of and it is perfect for my daredevil boys!

Shoebox swap

The first card was for a swap that I did last night with my SU group. Each person brings their "shoebox" with all of the supplies for everyone to make your card, and you move around the room to do each project. The second card is for a co-worker who is in the hospital. I will try to create something new for my next post!! I am working on some scrapbook pages....

Mother's day

My wonderful babysitter and her 5 year old daughter helped Markus make me a card....so cute!
The second card is the one I made for my Mom using Branch Out, i can't stop using this set, so the next few posts look pretty much the same!

The Jumble Alphabet

I have been meaning to scrapbook these pages for over a year now.....simple layout, and I do LOVE that Jumble Alphabet....the paper is the "outlaw" paper (retired SU), really rust, and kiwi kiss. The alphabet I used on the scallop envelope is the Classic Alphabet....

Branch Out....

Another tree set that I am in love with...who would have thought? I never cared much for trees or flowers now I LOVE them! I used strips of Walk In The Park DP (SU) for the background, baja breeze and kiwi kiss, C/S and whisper white with kiwi kiss ribbon layered on top of each other, and lastly, tied a "latte" button with linen thead, and of course the oval punches for the sentiment!

Tri-fold card

I know, you are probably wondering if I will ever tire of the Fifth ave floral set, the in colors, and the scalloped oval punch, but the answer is NO....I love it!!
I used the Manhattan Flower texture plate and the kiwi kiss/very vanilla satin ribbon for the outside, and cut around the embossed image.

I had seen this project on a few different blogs/You-tube videos and was dying to try it. It is a really simple and quick project. The backing is chipboard that I sponged in Pacific Point blue, then attached a piece of Kiwi Kiss to the backside of the chipboard. Then using a glue-dot I attached the PP ribbon and adhered another piece of KK paper over the top of the ribbon and chipboard. A piece of Bella Rose designer paper over that, I cut out the flower in Eastern Blooms, attached a filigree brad and adhered it with dimensionals. Last, I added a large filigree brad to the bottom of my ribbon.
