Love you!

Since I wasn't loving how my sock monkeys were turning out, I tried something different with this one. I stamped the monkey once on whisper white c/s then again in black on the choc. chip DP. I then cut the monkey out and cut off the parts that I wanted to leave white. Glued the dp on the white monkey and voila...a spotted monkey! I popped the heart up with a dimensional and used real red DP for the layer underneathI thought he turned out quite cute.
Wait until you see tomorrows post....It involves more watercoloring and it is VERY cool!

This was another attempt at watercoloring, I used a different technique with my water color pencils and aqua painter, instead of using ink pads.

Diorama card

Okay, I LOVE this card. I bought this stamp set (Carte Postal) ages ago and had never used it. I was originally going to use Unfrogettable, but decided that would be too much cutting! It is hard to see the detail in the layers, and it folds down to fit in a regular envelope!

New stamp set

This is one of the new in colors-Rich Razzleberry. I clear embossed the image and brayed the ink over the top, simple, but elegant!

Boho Blossoms

Markus was up at 7am this morning and wanted to go in the "craftbook" room, as he calls it, to create something. So I decided to make a card while he played. I wanted to try sewing on a card...as you can see it is not very straight!! I cut the front out with the circle punch and used a piece of acetate to create the window. The flowers are the boho blossoms puch with all three flowers layered and held together with a brad. I also stamped with one of my background stamps in versamark on the bottom "really rust" piece.

I'm not really sure what to call this....but it was fun to make! It is a "wallet" with a belly band around it. There are 3 envelopes (the long open ended ones), I forgot to take a pic of the inside.....anyways, they flip down and are also decorated. I used the stamp set Dreams du jour and colored it with my SU markers....looks much better than my water-coloring!
I love it when OTHER people watercolor...I can never seem to get it to look right. This is a birthday card for a party that Markus went to today. I started out trying to do the mojo-monday sketch but it turned into this!

Thanx a bunch

I swore I would never buy the Sock Monkey set, but after I saw this card I had to! I think It's the bananas I love. It is basically a case of one of Carrie Gaskin's designs, I had to try it! Which meant I had to buy the leaves #2 Sizzix die AND the Sock Monkey set....thank you Carrie G!!! It has lot's of dimension, the leaves are popped up, and the banana on the bottom, I brayered the water, and sponged the sky background.

My little guy has awhile to go before he will need this, but when he does, he can put his tooth in and wait for the tooth fairy to come!

Catch me if you can...

This is mine and Markus' card for daddy...hope he likes it!

We used the Beach wheel from the mini catalog (SU) and I forget the exact name, but I just wheeled the whole stamp on glossy white paper about 6 times and I ended up getting 4 fish that we could cut out and use! I colored them with my ink pads and blender pen.

Nice tie

This is Markus' Father's Day card for Daddy...too cute, and I love the way he decided to put the tie on crooked....so Markus!

HI Humans....

This is the latest from Simply Punches with Heather, I had to make this as soon as I saw the idea! It is inspired by one of the new stamps sets that will be available in the new Stampin' Up catalog. I think it is adorable! There will be a birthday greeting in the right hand corner as soon as I find the perfect one. I will also do a gift bag to match the one the robot is holding for the gift.

Koala

How cute is this little guy? I tried something different for the tree, using my Big Shot and the leaves sizzlet. Markus had so much fun helping me make this bear this morning.

Fly away

I love how this turned out! The blade at the back even spins....

Skull with Punches

I have Just Jawing on my list of things to order this month....then in Heathers punch class, this skull idea was todays project!! I love how it turned out. I used the new in color Bermuda Bay, and the rest is done with punches!

New colors

My new box of SU goodies, had all of the new in-colors and a new stamp set, plus some new DP as well, so I made a quick card. The base is Melon Mambo, the base of the flower paper is what is on the flip side...polka dots in Crushed Curry! I used versa-mark and embossed the flowers and added a simple sentiment. I absolutely love this stamp set, so you will be seeing a lot of it....It is called Kind and Caring Thoughts and is a Level 3 hostess set.

I wanted to try the "staircase" technique I learned at my Stampin' Up demonstrator meeting on Monday....I also thought I would use the retiring "Wild About You" set, which is so fun. The picture turned out blurry, not sure why....

Friends

This is done using the friends wheel, not what I had started out trying to do, but worked out in the end!

Tart and tangy box set

This project was inspired by Linda over at Stamping School, a little tote with 3x3 cards using summer picnic DP and a few metal tags

Scratch n' sniff

This is the final card that goes with the "Cheers to you" collection (designed by Carrie Gaskin).
If you scratch and sniff the margarita glass it smells like strawberry!

Punch Art

How cute are these??! The penguin is a design from the punch art class I am doing over at StampwithHeather.com, the piggy is from Linda at Stampingschool.com, and the alligator and sheep are from a couple of videos by chicnscratch.com....I knew having every single punch in the SU catalog would come in handy!!!!
